... yes, we haven't been in touch for ages: We simply had too much to do. But now, just before the summer, we're going to give you a half-year report with lots of fresh news from our agency.

We are EMAS certified!

First of all, we would like to share a heartfelt moment with you. In April, we successfully received our EMAS certification - an independent confirmation of our agency's environmentally conscious actions. It is an essential goal for all of us to act increasingly environmentally friendly as a company – and at the same time to design more and more projects in a resource-friendly way. Achieving the EMAS certification is an important step in this direction. We are super happy that we've got it – also because it really meant a lot of work. For the first time, we have quantified our resource consumption, defined measures to reduce it, introduced new processes, and so on and so forth... The team has managed all this with incredible motivation and perseverance, and we would like to thank everyone who helped us reach this important milestone!

Teamcoaching!

Our Berlin office has grown significantly, and growth always involves change. To ensure that this transformation is a positive process for all colleagues, we hired a coach for workshops on internal communication.

The workshops took place in different constellations and groups as well as together with the entire team. It was a great experience to exchange ideas with colleagues within a new setting. Not only did we get to know each other better, but we also took our collaboration to a new level – and we loved it!

2x Expo Osaka 2025

It's crazy. We are allowed to represent not only one, but two countries at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. With Germany and Austria, we are involved in the pavilions of two countries that share many cultural characteristics – and yet present themselves completely differently in Osaka.

Wa! Germany

Together with GL events we are responsible for the German Pavilion as general contractor. The architecture of the pavilion is designed by LAVA Architekten in Berlin.

The pavilion is dedicated to a central topic for the future: the circular economy. Everything is based on the idea of circularity or – translated into design – on the shape of the circle: the pavilion itself, the visitor experience, the design, the technologies presented and visions of the future.

And even the pavilion itself will become a circular exhibit. The building and the exhibition will show the extent to which circular buildings are already possible today. The German pavilion will be the most sustainable pavilion we have ever been allowed to design and realize.

Sounds of Austria

In Austria the future is not "designed", it is composed. Japanese people associate Austria primarily with the classical music of the 18th and 19th centuries. This is where the narrative of the Austrian pavilion takes off and leads its guests from there to a contemporary, modern Austria.

The pavilion, developed by BWM Designers & Architects, makes it already apparent from a distance: It's all about music here. A musical staging "carries" the guests through the exhibition designed by us – from the past to the present and into the future. In the final show, they finally compose the world of tomorrow together. And what remains is a long-lasting catchy tune.

And many more projects ...

Things are going well. We have won some big tenders in the last few months. Exhibitions for museums and historical places as well as for companies, exciting projects, also more often in an international context: here is a small selection.

400,000 years to the past with the Natural History Museum Basel

In a major competition for the design of several exhibitions for the new building of the Natural History Museum in Basel, we won the bid for the exhibition "History of Life". The exhibition tells the story of life since its origin about 4,000,000 years ago. And yes, part of the exhibition is also a large dinosaur skeleton!

90 years to the past at the Zeppelin Field reflection site in Nuremberg

A learning and meeting place will be created on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg, making the Zeppelin Field site accessible to the public and at the same time commemorating the history of the site. We have been entrusted with the task – certainly not an easy one – of realizing the museal design of the Dutzendteich train station, the central structure of the Zeppelin grandstand, and the reflection sites on the Zeppelin field, thus creating a place for contextualized remembrance and reflection. We approach this task with respect, humility, but also with great anticipation.

And off to the future with the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs

We are pleased to continue our collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS), for which we will implement a wide variety of political communication events in the future. From symposia and conferences to open days or meet-ups and exhibitions, everything is included. As the first event within the new framework contract, we are realizing the third round of the idea competition of the Civic Innovation Platform – a competition that awards and promotes AI applications for the common good.

As you can see, a lot has happened and exciting challenges lie ahead. We are looking forward to them! But for now, we wish you and us a great summer and a few relaxing days of vacation – we'll be back in touch after the vacations.

Until the next electronic bottle post!
