In August, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) held its open house once again in the historic buildings on Berlin's Wilhelmstraße. The aim was to offer visitors not only information, but also a multifaceted experience – with space for exchange, encounter, and participation.

The focus was on future topics such as artificial intelligence in the world of work, securing skilled workers, and inclusion and participation. An interactive exhibition concept brought these key topics to life: opportunities for dialogue with the management and experts, information stands run by Fraunhofer IAO, the European Social Fund, and the Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons, Migration, Refugees, and Integration invited visitors to explore the topics.

The centerpiece was the colorful summer garden. Here, Federal Minister Bärbel Bas, State Secretary Dr. Michael Schäfer, and other high-ranking representatives answered questions from citizens. A varied music and stage program, culinary stands, and moderated discussions created an open, lively atmosphere.

A special program was also created for children: guided tours of the building with treasure hunts, clowns, magicians, and games and crafts transformed the ministry into a place of participation and wonder.

The result was a weekend that combined information, dialogue, and entertainment, showcasing the BMAS as an open house that promotes transparency and encourages discussion on key issues in labor and social policy.
