Around 360 guests came together in Berlin on 6 and 7 May 2025 for the first National Marine Conference under the title Living Seas. As a central forum for discussion and dialogue, the National Marine Conference raises the profile of maritime policy issues and brings together stakeholders at national and regional level as well as selected international players.

We were commissioned by the Federal Ministry for the Environment with the event concept and design and with organising and managing all of the partners involved.

Using large-format photographs, the key visual focused on rare sea creatures. The conference stage was framed by blue, semi-transparent fabric panels, which transformed Berlin’s Westhafen Event & Convention Center into a vibrant water world.

On the evening before the conference, a film premiere also took place in the city’s Cinema Paris in collaboration with the Cinemare International Ocean Film Festival Kiel, and was followed by a panel discussion. The German Maritime Film Award was also presented in the course of the evening.
