At a time characterised by global challenges, the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV) organised the 7th Agricultural Congress. In doing so, it once again created an important platform for groundbreaking discussions on the future of our agriculture.
The congress, opened by Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke, Federal Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir and Elisabeth Mrema, Executive Secretary of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), sent an important signal in favour of common paths to sustainable agriculture. The event focussed on the vulnerability of our agricultural and food systems in the face of global crises such as the Ukraine conflict and the climate crisis. With renowned experts such as transformation researcher Maja Göpel, the congress offered guidance and discussion on ways to achieve a closer connection between environmental protection and agriculture.
As the realising agency, facts and fiction was responsible for the entire planning and preparation, including participant management, technology and live streaming. The key visual designed especially for the congress was based on the topography of a map with organic shapes and translated into three-dimensional elements for the stage design.
The get-together afterwards not only made the Agricultural Congress 2023 a platform for expert discussions, but also promoted dialogue between stakeholders on the path to sustainable and crisis-proof agriculture.
